I wanted to try something else besides French food on my recent 3+ week tour of France, so I saw the good reviews, and thought I would try this place for lunch. I don`t know if I caught this place on a bad day, or what, but this was the worse meal of my trip, and that`s counting crepes, pizza, kabobs, and the nicer places. First I walked into the corner bar, right aside of the restaurant, I saw there were tables in their, the bartender said no, the restaurant is the next door over, OK. So I go inside sit down, who walks through the little door along the back wall, the bartender, turns out he`s my waiter also, and the cook, as it turns out. So I thought this is a little odd, but I`m here now. Pretty much all they have on the menu is couscous, and a selection of tagines. I ordered the lamb tagine, with raisons. But, now in the mean time, 3 more couples come in, so now this poor guy is running around frantic, trying to wait on 6 tables, cook all the food, and keep a eye on the bar. I can hear the microwave door being opened and closed, many times, back in the kitchen, also not a good sign. After a pretty long wait my tagine arrives, mystery meat, heaped with raisons, in a thin brown sauce with a cinnamon stick in it. I don`t know if it was lamb or not, it had the texture of liver, so over cooked/microwaved, and tasteless. I did eat it, I was very hungry, I didn't have breakfast. I think everyone else was eating couscous, maybe that`s better ?? I was not going back to find out. This is the first negative review I ever posted, no I`m not a picky eater. I have 20 years of restaurant experience, and I`ve been to Europe many times.
