We had an all day tour of Normandy battlefields. Colin will customize your tour but since we didn't know what to ask to see and since he knew we were from the U.S., he gave us the American Sector Tour. This day turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to France. The tour was very informative and Colin has a gift for helping paint a picture of the scene in our minds. We came away knowing some of the key decisions the allies made which led to success and also some of the providential mistakes that turned out in the allies favor. If you're considering going to Normandy, we'd encourage you to make that trip and book Colin for at least a day.

We spent two days touring with Colin and it was an ideal experience. His knowledge of events around the Normandy campaign is excellent. We had sent him a list of things of interest to us, and he covered all of these topics. For example, to get an idea what the first wave landing troops saw I wanted to see Omaha beach near low tide. Colin adjusted the timing of visits so this could happen. With the extra time a 2 day tour provided, we were able to see sites less often visited, such as: Angoville and La Fiere. He provided more than just a geography tour, at each location he talked about the men who fought there.

Greatest day we had in France created a tour from what we wanted to see and what we hadn't seen before. Really made the service of those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom touch our hearts and lives. You miss out if you don't do this tour.

I give Colin the highest recommendation as a D-Day tour guide in Normandy. His expertise on the history and geography is deep, he's entertaining and personable, and he is flexible to your needs and wishes. Our group of six had a fantastic two-day tour with Colin as our guide in July, 2017, and I only wished we could have done two more days. Whether you're interested in the micro-details of every site and military mission, or more broadly looking to have a fulfilling day seeing this grand part of Normandy and learning about the pivotal events that took place here, Colin will suit you perfectly. He made touring Normandy easy, entertaining, vivid and powerful, and he brought the area to life for us. You'll be extremely satisfied if you book him as your guide.

Colin was not only knowledgeable, but had a passion for this period in history. He didn't do the ordinary dry rendition of facts, but recounted events, personal stories, and rhe strategies used by both the allies and Nazis. His respect for the fighting men was evident. We had a delightful time with this engaging, humorous, outgoing man. We spent 1 day at tge beaches, and cemetery, then the next day at Mont saint Michele.

A wonderful experience with Colin.
