This restaurant is located close to the Grand Place, in 17th century cure house which explains its interesting interior. We took fish and chips and salmon tartar. Food was tasty and served in good sized portions. Service was great and quick. Also helpful in dish modifications due to special diet requirements. Restaurant has nice terrace but it is better to book table especially during warm evenings.

Great place to enjoy Lille during summertime (for the terrace) and the nice place inside for the rest of the year. Nice staff, good food, a nice place for a good dinner in Lille for an affordable price.

Recommended by our French landlady. Had the fish & chips, sea bass, steak and lava cake with ice cream for dessert. Beautifully presented. Great dinner to end our first night in Lille.

A restaurant I would really like to rate higher as it has charm and the service was very good, they seemed to be really trying to please. You can sit inside, on two levels, or on the enclosed patio. The patio area seemed the most popular spot when we had dinner there but I should say that it's popular, especially with those under 40, so I would advise you have a reservation if you go on a weekend. The reason for the average rating is the food, we had some excellent meals in Lille but this was not one of them. The dish of the day, a fish in a simple butter sauce was good but our appertizers and my spouse's main course were average at best. To be fair dinner was relatively inexpensive, most appertizers were ten euros or less, my fish of the day was 21, and others ranged from about 18 to the mid 20s.

Both our phone batteries were dead so had no trip adviser... After walking around for ages looking at restaurants we found this place and we were so happy we did. Now if you have not been to France before be warned that the French do not like to put any English on the menus do we were very lucky that our waiter gave us his recommendations in English. So we ordered the Carbonade Flamande a la biere 're garde, frites... which essentially is beef Cooked in beer with chips. It was melt in the mouth tender meat in a rich silky sweet sauce.... WOW. Does not look all that but not does in taste superb
