Immagine to enter inside a steel container, yes a container.
This is tje main entrance of this nice ,good french bistot.

You'll find a nice ambient, with a complete view on the kitche.
The food you can choose is good ,well prepared ad typical of this nice France Reagion.well prepared and well presented on the plate ,with particular attention at the taste and at the eyes.
The quality of the food is more than good and the price is more than acceptable.
average cost for a dinner is 3o/35 € with no alcool drink
THE LOCATION IS IN THE CENTRE OF THE TOWN AND THE INTERNAL ARE NICE ,THERE IS ALSO A SMALL CITROEN TRUK INSIDE
I stay in Dunkuerque fore more tan two weeks ,I try,I test /try different place ,but "La Cambuse" is the best if you compare quality and price ...and not only

This restaurant is located in an old warehouse- cleverly designed with a fun atmosphere. The food is good and the staff are attentive

Sadly we did not eat here as we had booked somewhere else. It is 2 streets away from the quay and if you are staying at the all suites apartments you should go.

The kitchen was open plan and it is inside of a warehouse with industrial furniture but candle lit. The food looked really good. We were going to go on our last night but they are closed Sundays. Please try it we think you will like it.

I read a previous review and this place sounded so unusual, that we had to give it a go. We stayed around the block from it at the All Suites, another surprise, will stay there again. The cavernous entrance to Cambuse looks industrial, lots of shipping containers welded together and you actually go in through one of them! Inside is a large warehouse-like room with no-nonsense chunky wooden tables and chairs, brick walls, memorabilia and the most fantastic full sized Citroen delivery van in the corner. Counters and bars are balances on oil drums and wine barrels, but the open plan kitchen is state of the art steel. The menu is fantastic with lots of menu offers for 16€ or thereabouts, for starter/dessert, main course and drink. It was buzzing when we were there. The steaks come on a plank of wood with salad and a big bowl of chips. More food options were a charcuterie board of delicious looking meats, a fish board, a mixed board, burgers, ribs, fish ........ We were only there one night but wished we had stayed longer. A "must visit" place. It's like a mix between a New York apartment in the Bronx and a stage set from Mad Max, with excellent food. At one stage we were hysterically laughing because we didnt know that to access the toilets you had to enter one of the shipping containers and when we sat down at our table, 4 people walked out of a shipping container, much to our surprise. Bearing in mind the recent stowaways arriving in Britain in shipping containers, it came as a shock.

We got into town late and several other restaurants were full, so our hotel sent us to this place after calling. I gathered they were almost closed too. We started off walking to it and after a few dark streets and no sign of a restaurant, we saw a small light a block away over what looked like a repair shop or something. So we bailed out and went to another place we passed. They were closing. We asked for help finding the first place. They were confused. It was only supposed to be three blocks from the hotel! So we are lost, hungry and wife is freaking. I decided to walk to the single small light down the dark street. Boom. Set inside what is the weirdest entry ever is Cambuse.
We are the only people in this huge place. They are obviously waiting up. We had great ribs, and tough steak and friendly service. Great looking place. Clean, and looks like a fun spot earlier in night. Has an old truck in the dining room. We were very glad to get food and we thank them for their kindness. We obviously keep the waiter up late.
