Conveniently placed for several restaurants on the cliff looking towards the village of Rocamadour, this hotel is a good stopover or even a base for seeing the area. The hotel is just a few steps from a terrace from which the views of Rocamadour are stunning. We booked a triple room as it was the only option available, so we had plenty of space, a well-appointed bathroom and a large outside terrace with seating. Sadly, the weather was inclement; on a better day this would have been a very nice feature.
A stuffy evening lead to us switching the air con on during the night, but we couldn’t get it to work. So we opened the door to the terrace instead, which proved effective as it was a cool evening (in high summer that would not have been an option so I suggest if you stay here you should try the air con when you arrive whilst there are still staff available in the hotel in case like us you can’t get it to function).
We didn’t sample breakfast in the morning so cannot comment on its quality
As I mentioned, the hotel is well placed for several restaurants, but be aware that all of them seem to specialise in duck with little alternative choice. Which is great if you like duck!More
