The hospitality was incredible. Laurent and Charlotte are amazing and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. There are many wonderful restaurants nearby where you get a sense of what it's like to dine in Paris without too many tourists around. Just ask for recommendations and you will not be disappointed.

We had an excellent stay here, in the lively and bustling center of Montparnasse. The neighborhood was full of art and artists, as was the hotel, including a book on Chagall that was placed in our room, and a full library of art books in the lobby downstairs. The room was lovely, comfortable, and clean, and the shower (with rain showerhead, handheld wand, and six additional side-sprayers) was luxurious. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Room tip: We upgraded to one of the deluxe rooms, which I recommend if you're looking for a little more room or have a lot of luggage. It was very comfortable for our three large bags and two people, but the room sizes generally are definitely smaller than you'll see in the states! I think the small rooms would have been too small for us.

This was the second time we stayed here and will not be the last. Rooms are tiny, but this is normal in Paris. However, everything you need is there and this time there was a lovely memory foam pillow as well as the rather uncomfortable bouncy one I complained about before. Staff are charming and helpful, all speaking very good English. We particularly enjoyed the very high quality teas available between 9am and 11pm, as part of the service, in the front lobby. Just sitting there with a Vervain after dinner, quietly reading the paper, was a wonderful end to the day.

Room tip: On both visits we had Room 51, at the back of the hotel on the 5th floor. No noise whatsoever, very comfortable bed.
