Ok it ain't a typical French bistro rather a Laura Ashley kind off tea house. But mother and daughter run it well. Service is kind and quick. Not cheap but then what is in Paris?! Food was ok, not the best but really ok.

Tucked away in a small street not far from busy St Germain des Pres, is this blessedly quiet, pink and cosy, lunch place complete with pink marble floors, old china decorations and white table cloths (which are more and more rare these days).
When asked about the day's special, the waitress told of us "Maman's" lovely couscous. Concerning wine, we learned it was a small Bordeaux specially chosen by "mon mari" from the Bordeaux region, leading to a chat about the area as my lunch companion was also from there. When "maman" came around letting us know of deserts, in fast French and I needed a repetition, and she stopped somewhere in the middle of the list to check on something, the waitress came back. I seemed to have heard of a crumble, but she said, "non, non not crumble today. I made all the cakes". We ordered a scrumptious glazed chestnut ("marron glacé") cake, to die for.
Behind the cashier counter, was our pastry chef's son in a large arm chair playing a video game, and like everywhere else, Mom had a hard time getting him up to drop the game, get up and go back to school for the afternoon. Grandma came around to take care of that in a hurry.
A simple but tasty main dish, dessert, coffee and a glass of wine per person came out to about 70€ for two - an average price for the area.

Avoid at all costs, unless you enjoy paying ludicrous prices, that were not displayed, for very mediocre quality products from rather fed up and arrogant staff......hey the Paris experience of yesteryear.....

One star for being open...just.

Tucked away down a little side street of the Seine.
We were on our bicycles when we discovered this little treasure.
We couldn't understand all of the negative comments further down+.
The place has a local and extremely welcoming atmosphere.
The salad was fresh, light, yet filling. It was great talking to the owners to find or about their sourcing of ingredients.
A gorgeous selection of cakes.

+ a little bit pricy, maybe slightly more than what you'd pay elsewhere, but hey, this is Paris. What do you expect?

Thank Ian W

We passed by and popped in thinking this was a quaint little tea shop, so we ventured in for a quick lunch. We ordered 1 Moroccan Salad, 2 Lasagnas, 1 San Pellegrino Water and were shocked by the cost of lunch 50 plus Euros for a meal that was not that great. The service was good and friendly though.
