W walked up Rue Bonaparte from the river to Sait Germain des Pres passing many interesting art galleries on the way. The pavements are extremely small and the road is busy.

Great Street on the left bank Crossing Boulevard Saint German.
Great shopping with generally upmarket shops and lovely historic buildings typical of the area and time
A charming street on the left bank which is known for antique furniture and objects as well as galleries, tea shops and just a great street to walk.
The Rue Bonaparte is a pleasant road in the sixth arrondissement in Paris. It goes from the Jardin de Luxembourg area to Quai Voltaire. Cutting across Place St Germain and St Sulplice, the street has lots of museums, beautiful homes, restaurants, cafes & shops to enjoy.
Great place for local art and galleries. Good variety of work on show. Small shops and unusual unique goods for sale. Very pleasant area.
if you go to Paris and want to see it at its best away from the very touristy jaunts, St Germain is the area for you. Rue bonaparte is an amazing street with gorgeous antique shops and art galleries and excellent restuarants. We stayed at cosy apartment on Rue Bonaparte which we found on House Trip and it was perfect for two/ max three people. The place is central with two metro stations within 5 minutes walking distance. Two beautiful old churches, a laduree bakery and cafe round the corner and some serious shopping.. sigh.. not to mention the lourve is 5 minutes away and so is the musee d'orsay.
