Since my husband and I had tickets for late morning entry at the nearby YSL Museum, we searched the internet for nearby places for lunch and came across Philippe et Jean-Pierre. Looked great, nice menu, and secured a 30% discount offer on the a la carte menu by booking on La Forchette. Stopped by before lunch service started and confirmed our booked in person, which was met with a nice smile and thank you.

Upon arrival, Philippe showed us to our table and took our order for a glass of champagne. Perused the menu, finding it difficult to make decisions. I settled on foie gras done two ways and husband had langoustines on a bed of fennel; decent sized and both were great. Mains were roasted sweetbread and sirloin steak, with accompanying side dishes; cooking could not be faulted in the least. Final course of chocolate pudding/soufflé which was indeed rich and perhaps too much, but through no fault of the restaurant. The 30% was deducted without having to say anything and with pleasant 'au revoir' we were on our way.

Look forward to a return in order to see what it's like for dinner. Choice well made and highly recommend this establishment.

After a long day seeing the sights and enjoying Paris we made a last minute decision to eat close to the hotel, we found this wonderful little restaurant the staff were wonderful and very accommodating the food was marvellous and the dessert was just sublime. All together we had a very enjoyable experience from start to finish.

We chose this place on a hunch which proved to be a good one. The is a small restaurant near the Champs Elysees. The food is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The Dover Sole was one of the best anywhere in the world. Highly recommended!!

My wife and I had dinner at Philippe et Jean-Pierre’s on Saturday evening as part of a 3 day visit to Paris.

We arrived promptly at 7.30 pm as requested by the restaurant but we waited over 30 minutes before being served!

Finally finally the very affable Philippe, or was it Jean-Pierre, came to our table to ask about drinks and our menu choices.

Anyway the atmosphere was great and the food excellent so well worth the wait.

The restaurant was very busy and Philippe was running around a lot but overall we had a very enjoyable meal and it wasn’t too pricey at €163 including a half bottle of Saint Julien Talbot.

I’d thoroughly recommend this place if you want a cosy restaurant that serves great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Although be prepared to be forgotten when you arrive!
