Plenty of things to do. Easy connection to Charles De Gaulle Airport and Disney Paris (you only need to change one subway train). Have walked around with the family late at night and it is pretty safe. Take your time if haven't used subways/trains in Paris before. Lots of stairs and walking. Within walking distance underground you also have the Haussmann - Saint-Lazare Station.
One word of advice: on our return to the US we were tired and it was cold in the morning. We decided to take a cab from the Hilton Opera to Charles De Gaulle. For 4 people the cab was the most comfortable option: 55 Euros. The train ticket is 12 Euros per person one way, and the cost of an Uber Van was 70 Euros.

We took the train to Rouen from Gare St Lazare. Easily navigable at any time of the day and connected to the Paris Metro.

Saint Lazare is the train station you would use to travel to Normandy. The station is at street level and there is a shopping arcade attached. Unfortunately we were there on Sunday morning, so aside from a couple of places to get some light food, most of the stores were closed. We had a 2 hours wait for our training and the number of places to sit was limited. The taxi ride from CDG airport to the station took less than an hour and cost 50 euro. Our plane arrived at 8:10 and our train departed at 11:50. That September Sunday morning we had no trouble making it to the station in time for our train.

After spending a wonderful few days in Paris. this was our departure point for heading to Normandy. The station is big airy and clean, we found it easy to navigate to our train, everything is clearly signed, the dep board was accurate. Nothing to fault.

We used the Gare St Lazare ( Station for train RER and metro M) almost every day due to the fact its key connection hub for train and metro. At first glance you feel like lost due to its size but if you follow the signs or go to the service desk and/or ask all the young assistants you should be okay. The first time we used the info desk but later we managed on our own since its easy to get the hang of it. The station is multi levels and have all kind of shops supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. There is frequent armed police presence but always keep an eye from petty thief and pickpockets. Overall recommended
