Commemorating two centuries of French history, this site has been the stage for many historical events: Napoleon's funeral, the Nazi's coming into Paris, celebrating the return of Charles de Galle after the Allied Liberation. There is a flame lit to commemorate those unknown soldiers who lost their lives defending France. You can view the outside for free or pay a fee (or use your Museum pass) to climb to the top.
