So they advertise '40% off food Tuesday's'. I assume this is to entice you to try their menu in the hope you'll return and pay full price?
Well, first we are told steaks aren't included in the discounts, and secondly 3 of the limited other main course options were Veal (and sounded delicious)......but we were told they were not available. So (discounted) choices were limited which was very disappointing. Starters of soup and sausage/broccoli were nice to be fair. Main course choices not so.....(i) Calzone - was huge and looked fab. But first dig deflated it and filling was hard to find (not much of it at all). A whole lot of dough but not much else. (ii) Lobster ravioli - again looked nice but overpowered tomatoe taste and not much lobster filling at all.
Sorry guys, we so wanted to enjoy it and don't revel in writing a review such as this. But it's only fair people know

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

First of all, I apologise for such a delay in response. It sounds like when you came to visit us in April things didn't quite go to plan and I'm very sorry that your experience at Cibo wasn't what you hoped it would be.

Your honest feedback is actually really helpful. We definitely respect what you have to say and as we're still a fairly new restaurant we very much take on board your comments and use them as tools to improve.

We do wish to keep customers who dine with us happy and satisfied and as this wasn't the case with you, if you wouldn't mind to email me at marketing@dongiovanni.co.uk, I'd like to speak with you directly to try and rectify things.

Regards,

Beccy

Got in here last minute as a party of 10, after our booking elsewhere was cancelled.
Good service and the food was delicious with excellent service. A couple of our teenagers weren’t having starters, so as requested, they brought their pizzas out as soon as they were ready, and they looked delicious.
Everything our party ordered was fabulous, no complaints at all..

Hadn’t realised that this lovely little restaurant had changed hands but needn’t have worried. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Extremely patient and helpful. Good discount offers on at the moment. Food was served quickly & efficiently & enjoyed by all despite there being a big party on downstairs. We didn’t feel we were rushing everything was a good pace & in good time for theatre. Will definitely be going back.

Thank WarringtonJan

Four of us visited for Saturday evening dinner.
We had various dishes and could not fault any of them. Bruschetta, Prawns etc for starters and Steaks for main course but I had spinach and ricotta ravioli which was exceptional!
Reasonably priced too.
Definitely worth a try!

We ordered a C&T pizza - it was basically tomato soup on bread! the cheese was buffalo cheese which for some isn't great. There was no taste to the pizza, no herbs or anything to add to the taste and just overall not appetizing! We also ordered a pasta dish which came with full large langoustines (which wasn't explained in the menu) and they didn't give us anything to eat them with. Quite off-putting! It would also be nice to see a larger selection in the pasta's - maybe a chicken pasta or some sort of meat pasta! The interior of restaurant is great and the staff were lovely - great music too, just disappointed with the food!
