Don’t be put off from the exterior, I’ve driven past loads of times and never been in until now....
We had seen a couple of posts on Facebook saying how good the Duck was, and decided to check it out.
The Building is old, a bit ramshackled, and the car park potholed, but from the moment the door was opened for us our experience was totally positive.
The staff and the service given was excellent, and the food was Top Quality.
For starters we opted for a baked Camembert to share, which at £8 was very reasonably priced.
Mains we had a mixed grill and a ribeye steak, both were superb. The mixed grill in particular was of a particularly high standard, a few pubs in the area charge around the £17 mark, so at £21, I was expecting something better, and oh boy I wasn’t disappointed, the meat is locally sourced, succulent and tasty.
The chips are to die for...
There was a dessert blackboard full of homemade desserts with just one that was “bought in”.
All in all a great experience.
