Popped in here for a sweet fix and a cup of tea. Super helpful young barman as I wanted to find out if the cheesecakes were made with pasteurised products etc. Opted for the toffee applied crumble and cream! Mum had a giant portion of carrot cake (with Pinot!). This was boxed up for her to finish at home as she got defeated!! Really good value for money and great Sunday atmosphere

We visited on a bank holiday Sunday around 5pm, and enjoyed a good carvery here. You get 3 slices of meat, and there are 5 different types of veg & 3 types of potatoes to choose from, as well as plenty of gravy & sauces. It's certainly good value for money. My only reservation was that the place was very busy when we arrived, and noisy, with lots of children about, but that is to be expected on a bank holiday weekend.

We haven't been in a while so we were really looking forward to a nice dinner.

We arrived at around 1PM and the friendly staff found us a table.

The pub was not that busy but there was plenty of food to choose from.

We had a choice of 4 meats and a large selection of fresh vegetables including Peas Carrots & sweetcorn.

A good range of potatoes including new , boiled and roast.

My tip would be to have a small plate which is cheaper than the standard but very little difference in size.

The pub has the option of booking a table we noticed it was getting busy at around 2pm.

Lovely place and a really great lunch.

Stopped in for a drink on the way out and way back from a meal out. Staff very nice and helpful.
Drinks a reasonable price, food looked good as people went past.

Terrible food, passive aggressive guy on the carvery counter, other staff arguing with us when we complained (well you did ask if everything was ok), denying there was anything wrong with the food. They did refund me but the whole experience was horrible so I won't be returning.

Highlight - the overcooked, dry, hard turkey that I couldn't eat (all of it) was doggy bagged for the cat.

The turkey was marginally better than the carrots which tasted sickly sweet and were rubbery. The gravy was horribly salty and the boiled potatoes had endured the same fate as the carrots, being over cooked. Roast potatoes were also strangely sweet.

Do not understand why sugar was added to vegetables. Despite staff denying this, both my sister and I noticed it. Turns out the carrots are frozen, but even so, that doesn't explain their unusual taste and texture.

When you are served food as awful as this, last thing you want is rude staff who make you feel like it was your fault.

Awful food, awful customer service. Drinks pricey.
