Bad attitude. Maybe there’s only few Japanese restaurant in Derby. It would be a shame if you think this is the reason to come to your restaurant. I’m Asian and the food is not that really good. Made your own food would be better than this “warm” sushi. REAL sushi should keep hygiene and their manner. They made the wrong order from us. The chef just said “ Ok, so what do you want me to do?” So maybe you should listen carefully about their order and don’t put yourself like a badass. Please bring a good culture to other countries. That’s the thing at least you could do to help your restaurant.

Ebi Sushi is our favourite place to eat in Derbyshire and the best place for Japanese food in the Midlands. The place is lovely and authentic (a little quirky)...no need to dress up. There is a casual environment (Don’t expect much in terms of interior design) but the food is taken very serious! Ask for help with the menu (and how to eat) if you are a novice; staff are very nice. Prices vary depending on what you order but it can rack up quickly. Lots of yummy hot dishes and veggie options if you don’t fancy raw fish.

Very low key, informal restaurant in one of the less desirable parts of Derby City Centre. Make sure you don't dress up to go there!
But what a gem of Japanese food.

Order what the chef feels is the freshest fish and relax.
Fatty Tuna, Salmon, Scallops...all have been the stars on different nights we have visited.

Ebi Sushi never fails to impress - without doubt the best sushi in the midlands. Highly recommend! Polite staff, quick service and delicious food in a traditional atmosphere. Thank you! We will certainly be back!
