A lovely pub on the outskirts of Harrogate where we enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch after a walk in the Dales. We had a selection of main courses - Roast Pork Loin with crackling (could have been crisper), Rib of beef, Sea Bass and scallops, Roast Beef. We added extra portions of butternut and cauliflower cheese. All came perfectly cooked. For the fish dish - they followed requests re no dairy diet. And then to finish off one of us had at the sticky toffee pudding - wow, delicious!
Our labrador was also welcome to come and lie at the table we had in the bar area - being dog friendly in the bar area was one of the reasons for choosing the pub for our Sunday lunch

We love coming to this restaurant because a meal out becomes much more. The food is excellent, incredibly well prepared and always leaves us feeling very full! Great range of choices for both food and drink. The staff also make this a great experience. We had Jo who was so attentive and really looked after us. A great experience all round

We had high hopes... it's always really busy and the menu looked great but I'm sorry to say that we were really disappointed with the quality of the food. The pub itself is lovely and cosy but we didn't enjoy the Sunday lunch. The cauliflower cheese was very tasty and hot! However that's where it ends everything else tasted and looked like it had been sat under a heat lamp for hours. The luke warm roast potatoes had turned hard & dry, the Yorkshire pudding was as flat as a pancake and the veg consisted of 3 small slices of carrot and some cabbage. Won't be recommending.

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch with our two young grandchildren, we could not be seated in the restaurant but we're shown to a table in the bar, and asked to order at the bar, our meals came within a reasonable time, it was hot and on warm plates, after a while the waitress came and asked if we were satisfied, the meal was enjoyable.
