I stayed here very recently. On checking I was advised that I was being upgraded to a deluxe suite. Sounded like a good start. Wrong! When entering the room I found it to be quite cold. This was due to the window being left open. It was not the type of day for Windows to be open. It was a damp misty and foggy day. When checking the bathroom I noticed that the toilet tissue had not been replenished as approx a quarter of a roll remained. You might class this as petty but to me it shows a low standard of housekeeping. Basically a room that is going to be occupied should be prepared for new occupants. I found the bed to be very uncomfortable. Throughout the night sleep was interrupted by the constant banging of doors. I had an early appointment next morning. I was planning to have breakfast when I returned to the hotel. What a disappointment. This was the worst full Irish breakfast I have had in a very long time. When does a full Irish not have a fried egg? Granted, there was scrambled eggs but what was available was practically liquid. The pudding was like a rock as were the sausages. No way was the coffee fresh. It was like treacle. The bread felt like it had just come out of the fridge. As soon as 1030 (end of breakfast) I got the impression...I stayed here very recently. As soon as 1030 (end of breakfast) I got the impression that the staff just wanted you out of the place. Yes, I know they have jobs to do but at least you should be able to finish up at your leisure.
I doubt very much if I will be returning to this hotel.More
