Owner description: GUINNESS STOREHOUSE(R), Ireland's No. 1 visitor attraction is a "must see" on any visit to Dublin. Housed in an old fermentation plant in the heart of St James's Gate Brewery, the now seven-storey visitor experience tells the story of Ireland's iconic drink and beings to life the heritage of this world famous beer. Your journey begins standing at the bottom of the world's largest pint glass, which rises through the building. It is a dramatic story that begins over 250 years ago and ends in Gravity(R) Bar, Dublin's highest bar where you will receive a complimentary pint of GUINNESS(R) while enjoying spectacular views over Dublin.

Guinness is a must see location in Dublin. Get tickets online before you arrive to save money and lots of time queuing. It was definitely worth the visit but with so many people on the tour it felt like a bit of a procession. The bar on the top floor and pint of Guinness were the best part.

Thanks for this review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your visit to Guinness Storehouse. However with regards crowds, at this time of year we welcome lots of visitors, and as a result we do try to keep a flow moving steadily through the building. Nonetheless we appreciate it can get very crowded. Thanks again for the feedback, we really do value it.

I find the positive reviews bewildering and can only assume many are from people who have never been to another brewery tour. This is a flashy, self-confident display that tells nothing much of consequence unless you don't know about how to brew beer. If I were a member of the Guinness family interested in its heritage, I would be embarrassed. I am perhaps in a privileged position, having been to the Michelin museum in Clermont-Ferrand - as anyone in charge of this place should.... I learnt there aboiut how and why the family started the business. How its marketing developed, how the ownership and involvement with the local community evolved. All fascinating and all of which I remain in ignorance as regards the Guinness business. If you are ever in Cornwall, go to the St Austell brewery and see what can be done. So for me #, a massive missed opportunity.
