I visited Dublin on business last week, and stayed at the nearby Skylon hotel. I fancied a walk out for a beer and something to eat, and found this pub. When you first walk in the pub looks a little tired and dated, but the warm welcome that you get on arrival soon makes up for it! I looked at the menu, which had plenty of choice, and decided to eat here. I went for the sirloin steak which was priced at a very reasonable 19 euros, but when I went to place my order, I discovered that it was “steak night” (Wednesday) and so my steak was 17 euros and a pint or a wine was included in the price! The service was friendly and efficient, and I didn’t have to wait too long for my food. The meal was delicious and cooked to order, and the helpings were more than adequate. The pub seemed very popular, and I could see people waiting for a table, and so I didn’t outstay my welcome, but I will definitely return next time I visit Dublin.

We visited this pub in april.
The food was average at best. The chips were pretty bad , being the re heated sort, greasy tasting and not very appealing. The mains were not overly hot either.
Service was supplied by inexperienced teenagers, but they were doing ok given their limited experience. Its not really good value for money, so it is just another one of those places that make me realise why Its better to stay at home and cook our own food fresh. A pity but thats it!

Heard this is a place to stop in Dublin so we checked it out and it was great! No problem getting a table at lunch, dinner is another thing. Get there early or have a reservation so we’re told. Parking tricky, careful there.

We stopped in shortly after 1 p.m. and they were still serving lunch, which was great since we had just landed at Dublin Airport three hours earlier. The menu gives good information on allergins, plus they had a few additional specials that day. Seemed to be popular with some of the University students as well. Waitress was most helpful.
