Booked 2 nights, on 2nd day found the room unmade. When I queried with the manager, this ended with him aggressively arguing with me, telling me to sit down like a child, and that it is company policy not to clean a room and make beds on day 2 of a 2 night stay.
Really nice hotel , nice staff especially King Don!! What an absolute gentleman, he’s an iconic symbol and massive part to the building. Much much love from Rory And Laurie. He made our eveing fantastic. The man should be knighted. Rooms were nice too. We will be back

The hotel is very majestic and it smell like wooden floors. The bed was very comfortable and they have a great shower.
It is very quiet and warm.
The bar staff is lovely, mostly Don (five stars and kudos for you!) who is very nice and very decent.
It was a real pleasure to meet him!

Coming from Dublin, Cork is more peaceful and quiet. What we hoped for. Great hotel, we had an excellent spacious room with a great view. Good hospitality. Quiet surroundings, absolutely fabulous beds. Beautiful building, great outdoor terrace.

This is a well appointed hotel with excellent views over Cork. The standard room was generously proportioned with a super king sized bed. The shower was of the “above the bath” kind but with a large rose and a very good fall of water.
Breakfast was extra, and sufficient for the cost.
The was a good gym with free weights, a rather tired multi gym set up, and some good running, elliptical and spin bikes. My one criticism would be that the hours (8-8) don’t suit those preferring to rise early. I can’t see why the gym (which is unmanned) can’t open at 7am or even 6:30am
