“Great area for walking”
Review of Glen Brittle

Glen Brittle
Reviewed 4 April 2018 via mobile

Stayed at Glen Brittle campsite in our camper while on a short tour of Skye. We used our stay here as a base for walking in the hills and had a fabulous time.
Really lovely owners who shared their knowledge of the area and helped us choose the perfect walks. Fantastic facilities too. Getting down to the site was a bit tricky as people tend to park a bit precariously on the side of the road to visit the fairy pools - a bigger car park there is badly needed.
Would definitely return here - hopefully when it’s less windy, which resulted in a bit of a sleepless night!

We drove around here quite a bit and all of it was amazingly beautiful. I'm planning another trip back to the Isle of Skye and we have only been home a week.

Stayed at Glen Brittle during tour of highland and islands. Campsite is great set on a stunning bay. Staff are really friendly though shop not brilliant so bring some provisions.

Down a long single tract road and through a farm yard but well worth the effort. Try and avoid driving down at 6pm or back in morning as stream of traffic in opposite direction but good natured and plenty of waving. V helpful staff and special area if you pay for hook up. Even coffee and bread not that we tried it. And the views of the sea and the Cullins make it very special.

We went here for the weekend, and stayed at the campsite, great place right on the beach and plenty of places to walk, the fairy pools are 10 minutes drive away and defo worth a visit I've put some pictures on. Enjoy your stay
