Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Zizzi Inverness is truly one of the most stunning restaurants we have. One elevation is all glazed floor to ceiling - giving diners a truly amazing view of the river. Four local themes have been the inspiration behind the design of the new restaurant: the historic River Ness, boats, whisky distilleries and the Highlands. A large wooden ceiling raft that is splintered at one end to replicate old boats, light fittings that look like buoys and a rope and pulley feature in the window. The contour lines of the Highlands and Lowlands are detailed through Ordnance Survey maps on the ceiling, whilst copper pipes throughout the restaurant give a nod to the famous distilleries.Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

Had a lovely meal here. Our waiter (Chris) was very helpful even on a very busy evening.

What I really liked is that once you were served, you were left to enjoy your meal without having to answer the question of "How is your meal?".

Very reasonable and will definitely visit again

Sadly we only had half a good meal here. The starters were lovely and clear that time had been taken to make them but both our main courses were really bland tasting. The fact that they came out 5 minutes after our starters were cleared made me think they were rushing as the place was heaving busy. We usually try to avoid chain restaurants but thought we would give it a go as it's so popular in Inverness....looks like we will be sticking to the independents til the end of time!

Lunch with kids was fine - decent children's menu is much appreciated! On the minus side, I think the low ceiling makes this branch really noisy. Salads were nice but could have done with a bit more dressing or balsamic to give it more zip. The skinny pizza is served with a salad but it's pretty sad and wilted. The toffee served with the coffee is inedible its so hard (even if dunked)... time to get some decent Italian biscotti instead maybe!

Walked in at 21:40 in the evening after checking the restaurant was open until 23:00 on trip advisor . The manager was clearly annoyed to see us as he must have wanted an early finish. He said he thought the kitchen was closed but would check. After we told him we saw it advertised until 23.00 he grudgingly agreed to let us eat but we had to be out in 30 minutes. Disgusting attitude and after that would rather eat in McDonald’s . Not to mention he picked his nose in front of us before handing us a menu. No Thank You !!

We had a great afternoon with friends. The food, setting & service was just right. Each of the four of us ate different menu choices & we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We were served by Laura who was excellent at ensuring we were happy with everything. Great place to eat.
