Big improvement since its been refurbished. Was in a couple of years ago.
Working next to it so it's handy for a pint on the way home.
Had a terrible dinner at the old school house on woodlands road before exiting as quick as possible stopped off at the Arlington with 8 mates and had a few beers on route to city centre. The barman on duty was courteous and very efficient and despite being quite busy had time for a wee blether and a smile....combination of beers and a few half's with mixtures ....19 pounds .....excellent value and really good beer. The is obviously a well liked local and other customers very chatty. Some who were leaving retrieved their bicycle from the toilet corridor.....great ambience and very warming....highly recommended for those who like a traditional proper pub.5.minute walk from the centre of Glasgow and 5 minutes from the stand comedy club on Woodlands road.....a must for pre comedy drinks.........it for those looking for a decent local...very refreshing and good feel t

The Arlington is a boisterous, local pub on Woodlands. Great for a pint or as a jumping off point on the way into town. It's usually busy in the evening and jammed at the weekend. Cleaner pint than West on the Corner the time I went (though I've only been there once so far).
Great for an authentic drink. Don't expect anything fancy - it's rough and ready. Fast, cheery service and a good selection of beers deal the deal.
Fun atmosphere with people of all ages enjoying a drink every night. Something always going off and good prices.
Went in for a glass of a fizzy soft drink and was impressed. The prices are low, nice atmosphere and started life in 1860!!! Also home to students and the Stone of Destiny, you have to see it!!!
The Arlington has gone through recent renovations which can often take away the soul of a bar. Thankfully this did not happen here.
The staff and general clientele are intelligent and clued into their music. You can approach a random person or table and strike up a conversation without the fear of having an odd look being thrown your way (as happens in a number of bars in Glasgow).
You can often find rare talent at the music nights and there are also mini-festivals which happen often. Thisn is great for those who have been in Glasgow for a while or if you are just visiting.
