The yard was very impressive. So many statues, stories, names. The hill was very big and it took us at least 30 minutes to climb up and down. But the view made it totally worth it

Gentle refuge from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow centre. Lots of shops, pubs and restaurants to explore. It's a thriving residential area with many wonderful buildings. The Botanic Gardens and University are situated in the West End – plus some marvellous museums. Really it’s a must to visit.

Beautiful place, a must visit. If you jump on the hop on hop off bus you can visit the West End. Definitely worth it.

I've lived in the West End for 2 years now, and I can say it's the best part of Glasgow (I know, I am a bit biased ;P). There are lots of nice places to walk, it's very green, lots of restaurant choices, a few good streets for shopping and some very interesting points of interest (Botanic Gardens, Kelvingrove Art Museum, Glasgow University, etc). There are lots of buses that go through here, so definitely worth paying a visit!

The West End is the place to visit when in Glasgow - lots of bars, restaurants and shops - it's near the university and has lots of good links to the city centre although that's not a long walk
