First time here for my other half’s birthday with family on 31st March. The 9 of us were so looking forward to this, given all the previous rave reviews.....but we were disappointed tbh. The service was ok. Couldn’t hear what the waiter was telling us about how it all worked because the music was so loud. This also affected the chat amongst our group as we had to shout to each other to be heard!! They took ages to take our order and it seemed a long time before the chefs arrived. The theatrics of cooking of the meal were very entertaining and certainly lived up to the hype but the food itself was very bland - we all had different things but all agreed that there wasn’t a lot of flavour - also because they cook meats and veg on separate hot plates and they were serving 2 different parties at the same time, most us us got either veg early or meat early but never both at the same time, or quickly enough for it all to remain hot. We were then left for over 40mins with no contact from anyone - several of our party had ordered the set menu, which included a dessert but we had to ask for this and for dessert menues for the rest of us. Then it took 20 mins to arrive in what appeared to be pre-prepared desserts in jars! When I paid the bill (service charge had been included) I had to go to the main desk to ask for my change as no-one came back with it - they had assumed it was for them!! By that point we’re were all feeling disappointed and I don’t think we’ll be in a hurry to go back.

We booked for 6.30pm as party of 4. We arrived a but early to a very warm welcome and sat in the spacious bar and had a drink waiting on our table. Within 10 minutes it was ready and then the fun commenced. This is wildly different and such good fun. The chefs are brilliant and you can have a very entertaining time as they cook the food infront of you. And the food is wonderful. The choices are various set menus at various prices and it is really good value. Its not a place for a quiet romantic meal but it is a place for great fun and a very good meal. You gota go there!

First time at restaurant and had no idea what to expect! Chef at the group table put on an entertaining show whilst cooking delicious food. Great menu and my lamb was beautiful. Will definitely be back.

We booked a 5pm deal for 2 for £35 and it was well worth the money. It was my first time going to a Japanese restaurant and I loved it!! I loved how you could watch the chef show off his knife and fire skills. I ordered the salmon terriyaki and got 2 salmons with the rice, sauted potatoes and vegetables. Stuffed! They obviously can't do a roaring trade in deserts!! Only reason I rated them 4 out of 5 was the wait for our starters and 2nd round of drinks - had to ask again what happened to them. Think they had forgotten about us! All in all though, a great time was had by all.
