We've heard about the Plough Inn from friends, yet our perception of opening times we had not yet been. Today we did lunch and how pleased were we that we did. Well presented country pub, cosy yet not cramped in any way. Lovely and warm with a fire going, a welcoming greeting which created a very inviting atmosphere. A well thought out food and drink offering, it was easy to find something, plus a good selection for kids (not with us). Each course was prompt, hot and very tasty, a simple Saturday lunch, yet it left us wanting to return. Well done the Plough Inn team.

Visited here on Saturday night for tea as been before years ago and was good. Potato skins for starters were very good as was the stuffed mushrooms. Macaroni was delicious along with haddock and chips. Cheesecake was good and so was sticky toffee pudding and very well presented. Staff were friendly. Would recommend and we will go back again.

Took another trip to The Plough for a wee night out, and once again the food on an ever changing superb menu was brilliant.Haggis Lasagne??? Yes a mix of Scotland and Italy and how it worked was out of this world. Highly recommend this dish. After dinner had a few drinks in the bar next to the log burning fire. Lovely evening out yet again. Service superb, food superb, price superb. The owners and staff make you so welcome it's s pleasure to go there. Will we be back? Oh yes as we always do.

Took two friends with us to revisit the Plough, which I hadn't visited for years. It was better than I remembered it and well worth the detour around back roads to reach it. Super friendly welcome, extensive (but not too expensive) menu from which we all chose different dishes and none of us was disappointed. Their cups of soup of the day were big and hot and excellent value for money.
