What a wonderful building, such beauty retained throughout the ages regardless of cost.
We had the most amazing dinner here with a price that is within everyones budget.
We will definitely be returning to this place again soon.

My friend and I ate in a few restaurants while the Eat On scheme was on. The very last day August 31st we had lunch in The Dome. All I can say is it was the best we had eaten in all the restaurants in August. We had the three course, with Prawn Cocktail, Fish and Chips and Chocolate Fudge Cake and all of the food was presented well and tasted delicious ! Our bill came to £90 (including a bottle of wine) and we received £20 off ! The staff were very hospitable and treated you very special.
We will certainly be back.

A very special setting for dinner. Our meal was very enjoyable although there were a few small niggles which prevent me from giving a top rating. Notable was the haggis samosa which was poorly presented with the samosa broken open on top and hard below. The haggis part was fine so why not just serve that?

Service was excellent with plenty of hard working staff ensuring we were never kept waiting but were also given enough time between courses and to hang around waiting for our sleeper train to London.

All in all this was a very good meal and justified it's high price but I felt it just lacked that little something that would have made it excellent.

Great staff, nice ambience, food was ok but I was disappointed in the fact they serve frozen chips, cold plates and soda water was never in my glass of wine despite asking 3 times. Apparently black pepper mills aren’t allowed either but u can get salt and white pepper in salts cellars! Overall it was a good evening out but needs improvement for an up market experience coming to such a nice decor restaurant

Dome reopened and it’s every bit as special as it always was even with their measures in place. The staff are exceptional. Best place in Edinburgh by far. Will be back next week.
