We came across the Cove a few years ago and it has never been beaten for a meal whilst visiting the Aberdeen area.

Great food good service and value for money.

Crackin view of the Ocean from the main area of the resteraunt.

Please remember and book prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.

Plenty of car parking

My husband and I decided to try the cove bay hotel for lunch and were not dissapointed. As it was a sunny afternoon we asked manager if we could possibly get a table at the window overlooking the sea. He said I'm sorry they are reserved or full however minutes later when a table became vacant he came over and said you can have that table by the window. We were so pleased. Our food order was taken I had poached yellow smoked haddock parsley mash vegetables with a poached egg it was so tasty and filling. My husband had beef olives one filled with haggis the other with oatmeal mash & veg which he really enjoyed. The service was excellent even though it was pretty busy with some large groups sat at big tables.

Went here for tea after work with family member and a friend, was shown too a table very quickly and drink order was taken at the same time, drinks arrived quite quickly and food order was taken at this time, a little slow on food arriving, was asked if we would like any sauces etc, we asked for a small jug of gravy as there wasn't a lot on the plate to eat the beef olives with and some mayonnaise for the other orders, this was when we then waited and waited for the gravy and sauce to arrive , no staff going about to ask where it was, when we where just finished our order the waitress Come Over with the gravy and sauce apologies for the delay, we did say we no long required this as our food was finished,,, she then apologised again and offered us two free desserts for the inconvenience, even thou there was three of us at the table! The desserts arrived quite quickly, when finished had to ask for the bill,
Overall the food is good and good side portions, however the waiting staff do let it down with there service time.

We visited the Cove Bay Hotel for the first time this evening as we were stuck for somewhere new to visit. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Try to ask for a table beside the window so that you get an amazing view of the north sea. To start we had the sharing platter which consists of: onion rings, jalapeno poppers, chicken wings, garlic bread and haggis fritters which were all lovely and cooked to perfection would highly recommend having.

The service is quick and efficient by the time you have ordered and had a sip of your drink the starter comes out so this is excellent. I had the battered fish and chips as a main and when it came out I couldn't believe the size of the portion it was fantastic. The rest of us had the meat feast hero and the beef olives.

Id give the Cove Bay Hotel a 10/10 as there portion size is brilliant, food prices are just what you would expect from good food. Would definitely visit again.

Although the food and service was good this place needs a shot in the arm. Seemed so laid back and it effected everything.
The specials were of a good selection.
Not a good place for the disabled.
