We arrived to room and it smelled like sweat / smoke and a air fresher spray to try cover up the odour. The room was very rough looking. This was room 331. My 11 year old daughter whom has ASD said she refused to sleep there due to the smell cleanliness and the room was quite cramped. Definitely not a family room. In which we paid for.
Staff moved us next door to 332 which was not much better. I expressed this to the staff member about the odour in the room and corridor. To which she explained she has an issue with her sense of smell.
The rooms needs renovating and prehaps a deeper clean by cleaning staff also. Overall disappointing experience.

Stayed here last weekend for one night to be close to the hospital whilst visiting family. We booked a room with a crib. The crib provided was a standard travel cot with a base in three pieces made of wood. How any child could sleep in that would be amazing. As the baby is so young he would be unable to sleepnin the bed with us. Asked at reception for a blanket or something other than this crib which they were reluctant to give us another blanket due to health and safety issues with putting this in the crib. We agreed and this would have been very unsafe. The only option we were left with was for the 5 month old to sleep on the floor on a blanket, which kept us up all night as we were constantly checking if he was breathing.

If you are staying with a baby, do not!

Icing on the cake was they put us in a room that had stairs down to the room in the corridor. Someone clearly isnt aware of the layout of the hotel. This made it very difficult for me to carry the baby down the steps to the room, with nowhere to leave him whilst taking the pram and suitcases down the steps to the room.

I understand it was a busy Saturday night but when check in is 3pm and we were not able to check in until 5pm is ridiculous.

Would not recommend.

The bar food was great!

Room was too cold, no phone in room had to go to reception to complain about temperature in room. Want much better after I spoke to the staff. Had to strip the spare bed in the room to help warm us up. Wouldn’t stay again. Had 1 small kid. Too cold for better and us

I was a touch concerned after reading recent views but I had a very comfortable 2 night stay at this hotel. Room was large and clean with the typical very comfortable bed & lovely pillows. Maybe it needs a bit of decoration in parts but it was fine.
Staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
Location is fabulous, quiet area but within minutes of all of the city centre, shopping bars & restaurants.
I have stayed at 3 premier inns in the last few months and I do think their breakfast quality has deteriorated. I think in future I won’t bother with a breakfast but that is a reflection on premier inn centrally cutting product quality and not this particular hotel.

Room tip: Room 601 was large clean & quiet
