We went as a family as it was open on Easter Sunday and there was a hidden egg trail. We parked in the museum car park as it was empty and easier to park larger vehicles rather than park on the road. For £6.50 who can complain.

We spent a couple of hours at the museum. My daughter got bored which is understandable. Overall not a bad museum for a short wander around. We didn’t manage to go upstairs for long so I am unable to comment on the art gallery.

This museum is a great day out for most people. There’s something for everyone...dinosaurs and doodling, Meteors and molten lava, Rodin and Renoir, Damian Hirst and Degas. The art collection is superb thanks to a private collection left to the museum. It may not be on the scale of the Uffizi Gallery or the Louvre, but I highly recommend a visit. The weekend ‘art-cart’ is great for children, good canteen and brilliant hands-on science room for children.

What a great museum and free as well! There are lockers in the lobby; struggled wth our £1 to begin with then realised they probably were set for old style £1 coins, so the front desk exchanged a new £1 coin for an old token. We spent most of our visit looking at the art; there are some great exhibits, including the current "Bacon to Doig". Could've easily spent several hours here. There's a nice restaurant downstairs with plenty of seating even though it's clearly popular and a coffee shop on the ground floor. Plenty of parking close by.

Learnt a lot whilst visiting the museum. Free entry, no time limit. Really enjoyed. Hadn’t planned on visiting the museum, was walking passed and decided to pop in. Really glad I did

I live in Cardiff and sometimes you take old friends for granted. But the recent organ based performance art was marvelous. It made me re wander down some of the other galleries and it just reminded me what a rich heritage Wales has.
