I liked the castle, it was cool. However, I would have liked to have access to all the exhibitions for the ticket price. Without them, it wasn't quite worth the ticket price.

Definitely worth a visit even though weather wasn't great. We spent a couple of hours wandering round by ourselves. Even our teenage daughter didn't get bored, so much to see. Museum had interesting displays and stories. The Mott gives you beautiful views of Cardiff and the house has beautiful decor and so many things to discover through your visit. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We visited the castle on a bank holiday Monday, so it was quite busy. There is plenty of room within the castle grounds for picnics or children to play.
The Firing Line exhibition was very interesting and well put together for anyone with an interest in military history.
The walkway where city dwellers sheltered from air-raids during the war are also worth a visit.
I’d recommend paying a little extra for the Clock Tower tour, but be aware that there is a long walk up a spiral staircase.
Conveniently close to the city centre - literally at the end of the High Street.

We spent a few hours there. Could have been longer, but we didn’t eat in the cafe or watch all of the displays.

If you are going to Cardiff then the castle is a must visit experience for all.

Our tour guide was soo knowledgeable and friendly it was brilliant.

Throughly enjoyed all even though weather was a bit iffy that day.

Also the war corridor in outside wall was great. I found myself singing along.

Very enjoyable experience.

No doubt a must see when you're in Cardiff. The Castle Apartments are straight out of a gothic fantasy; so much to look at and were the highlight of our visit. We also enjoyed the war tunnels and the Museum of the Welsh Soldier. We walked the Battlements and climbed to the top of the Keep. The steps here are VERY steep (one young lady was struggling, not with the stamina but with her short skirt and high shoes! ;) Allow a couple of hours, longer if you plan to do the extra guided tour of the house (which costs extra). There were some nice activities going on for kids over Easter.
