Popped in this evening for a bite to eat on way back from Lleyn. Excellent food and service. Very helpful team who looked like they were " on it". Food spot on. The chick pea chips went down a storm too. Many thanks.

We booked the Castle Hotel for one night, but wish we had stayed another. A very nice and spacious room with view of Conwy Castle, really pleasant and tastefully decorated. And so was the whole hotel: nice bar, plenty of cozy corners to have a drink, and a whole range of art nouveau-like paintings. Brilliant atmosphere, and the service was outstanding. An excellent breakfast, cooked to perfection with a wide variety of choices for the start of the day. Not to forget about the free parking in a small town, where parking in general appears to be a luxury. The hotel lies in the middle of town, a few meters from all the good restaurants and pubs, shops and touristic attractions. Could not be better.
We had an excellent stay and would definitely come again when in the area.

This is a well appointed hotel ideally situated in the middle of Conwy. The staff are outstanding being friendly and very efficient. A lift to the second floor would be a welcome addition for elderly guests like us, but the rooms are well appointed and comfortable.

Thank you for your great review and it’s great to read that our team have really impressed! I’m afraid as a listed building, adding a lift is nearly impossible but we are always looking for ways! We all look forward to welcoming you back very soon!

Lovely historic hotel on Conwy High Street. Warm welcome from friendly staff. The place is full of character. We stayed for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast during a visit to Conwy to pop into Drew Pritchard's shop. Menu served throughout the day is imaginative and tasty. Car parking facility right in the heart of the town is a bonus. No lift at the hotel so choose your room carefully. Will stay again next time we are in the area.

Really liked this hotel. Staff very friendly, offered a warm welcome and everyone nice and helpful throughout our stay. Had a large double room on the second floor on the front of the hotel, despite being right on the road was actually very quiet. Room comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is very quaint and clearly very old which is part of its charm, as a consequence the room was quite dimly lit all part of the ambiance - good lighting in the bathroom though ladies. Bed a little firm for my liking but overall we were comfortable. Complimentary drinks tray in the room and kettle with some nice biscuits and chocolate also bottled water provided. Breakfast was served in the restaurant by friendly staff and was excellent. All freshly cooked to order with nice variety, I had the cooked breakfast one morning and the next day rarebit both lovely. On our first evening we had dinner in the bar which was again excellent and really good value, quality of food very good. Bar service quick and friendly. No problem parking at the rear although is a narrow squeeze from the road there is parking opposite the hotel too. Conwy itself is lovely for a short stay and we did a couple of good walks including across the bridge to The Quay hotel at Deganwy which has a nice terrace to sit out by the estuary. We also tried out a few of the local pubs - look out for the Snowden beer very nice and refreshing after a long walk. Had lunch at the Erskine pub one day - the steak pie was excellent. We also had dinner at Alfredo’s really good value, friendly place and had a nice dinner there. All in all a great little break and we will go back to the Castle for sure

Room Tip: Our room on 2 nd floor nice and quiet
