My wife Sue and I are regular visitors to Broadway and as caravanners, have stayed just down the road at the Caravan Club site, once or twice a year for the last nine years. We often walk into the village from the site, passing several B&Bs on the way and we have frequently remarked how it would make a nice change to stay in one of 'those B&Bs'.
Well this Easter weekend we decided to do just that and we chose to stay at Windrush House for two nights. What an excellent choice!
At the time of booking, there was only one room available and, after checking on-line, discovered it was the smallest room available. Undeterred, we went ahead and booked. We arrived well before our checking in time but there is no problem parking up early. So donning our walking boots, we set off on a local walk to take in some fresh air.
We returned several hours later and checked in. We were greeted by Kate and Robin (and Nixie!). We were offered cake and tea but (sadly) had too decline as we had just had a nibble in the nearby Swan Hotel.
Kate showed us to the room and we were delighted with it. Yes, it is small(ish), but do not let this put you off. It was a beautiful room. Kate has thought of everything. The decor is superb & the attention to detail is amazing, spotlessly clean and with a very pleasant view out over the large rear garden.
Breakfast was excellent. We went for the 'full English' which was served freshly cooked & piping hot. There was a wide choice of fruits and cereals available, with a great choice of breads, jams & marmalades. A toaster too!
Overall, an excellent 2 nights and we will definitely pay a return visit in the future.
Our only disappointment ..... the weather. But this is England! Even Kate and Robin (& NIxie!) couldn't help us out with that one!!!

Paul

It is lovely that you enjoyed all that Windrush House offers, not everyone notices the small details but when they do it gives us a feeling that we have done it right. We look forward to welcoming you back to Windrush House and hopefully it will be in better weather! Does it help to say the sun has been out since you left? No perhaps not!

Stayed here for two nights to attend our daughters birthday party in the area. The owners were friendly and helpful, four poster bed was very comfortable , the room warm and cosy. We especially appreciated being allowed to leave the car on our departure morning while the heavy snowfall thawed.

Room Tip: All rooms appeared good.

Thank you for reviewing us. It was a delight to meet all the family here for the birthday celebrations, certainly sounds like it was a success. Glad the snow thawed quickly.

Spent one night at Windrush. Owner were very friendly and welcoming and rooms were spotlessly clean. The B and B is about a 5 minute walk from the start of the village where there are plenty of places to eat. Owners happy to help out with walks and provided us with a very useful footpath guide of the area. If you like walking we would recommend walk up to Broadway tower, the views were amazing. Beautifully cooked breakfast and a great selection of homemade jams and marmalades. Just wish breakfast was served a bit later than 9. Would definately return again.

From the moment we arrived and Kate greeted us with a very welcome cup of tea and piece of cake, we felt very at home. We stayed in Bourton and found it a lovely quiet room. It was very clean and had all the facilities and information needed for our weekend away. The breakfast was excellent with a fine selection of very tasty home made preserves. It set us up very nicely for our busy days out and about. We found Kate, Robin and the adorable Nixie to be very warm and welcoming and are very much looking forward to our next visit.

Very close to the centre of the village, rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable, just what you hope for from a bed and breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome by the friendly owners - There was an excellent breakfast, with good choice on the menu. All in all a really good place to stay.

Just an aside - We tried to book via one of the hotel booking sites, but they showed no availability. We contacted the hotel directly, and they had rooms available. They only put a small number of rooms on the booking sites, so worth making direct contact. Also by booking directly, small businesses receive the full room rate.
