I have recently come home from an overnight stay at the Cricket Field House, I had travelled down with my mother and needed somewhere to stay near the hospital for visiting my uncle.
The place is just outside of Salisbury centre and just off a very busy road. However that’s the only negative, although the road wasn’t a big issue and you certainly didn’t hear any of the traffic from the accommodation.
We stayed in a room in the annex section of the guest house, it was lovely with a little tranquil garden where you could just sit and watch the tiny birds bobbing in and out of the hedges. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfy, the bathroom was stocked with every thing you needed, had you forgot toiletries. It had an alarm clock with docking station for iPod, a large television, coffee maker with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and complementary water and biscuits.
The towels were of very good quality and were a bit of luxury. The room was lovely and warm (it did get too hot in the night) however this could have been recitified had we adjusted the radiator temperature ourselves.
Breakfast was great, lots of choice, plenty to eat and drink.
Would we stay again? Most definitely, we have already recommended it to other family members who are travelling down.More
