We decided to visit on the spur of the moment whilst walking around the Cathedral Close on a visit to Salisbury, and had a wonderful visit. We were so warmly welcomed and firstly enjoyed an exhibition of art work which related to objects in the main house. The guides were friendly and very informative about the house, the exhibits in it and of Edward Heath (previous owner/ex prime minister). It was just so interesting and the guides made it a fantastic experience. We were also encouraged to walk in the garden that leads down to a river. There are also great views of the Cathedral from the garden. Many thanks for a great visit.
