Visited for a pre theatre meal on Saturday night. The restaurant is dead handy for the New Alexandra Theatre and very close to new street station (use Southside exit). It’s been along time since I’ve been to Bulgaria, judging by the offerings here the food and beer have improved! Two Bulgarian beers tried, whilst Susan stuck to the wine. The decor tries hard to capture the rustic charm and traditional colours of Bulgaria. My starter of breaded pepper stuffed with white cheese was excellent. Susan had the breaded cheese, which turned out to be bread with some cheese on top, think there was a misunderstanding there! Proper home made chips too. For main we shared the chicken Sach, a huge dish (with a kilo of chicken we were told) with mushrooms, onions and some veg. It was gigantic and delicious, Tbf it could have probably fed 3. Good value and friendly service too, well worth a visit.
