Freezing cold in the venue, had sit with coat on. Given a cheap bottle of fizzy wine instead of the £19 prosecco, took some convincing the bar staff it wasn’t what I’d ordered. Dirty glasses with lipstick and when asked for a clean one the server went to wipe it clean with a serviette! Manager too busy on the dance floor to bother with the complaints being made by most of the other guests. Left early as had had enough. Had been told of bad reviews but gave them the benefit..won’t be back

The hall & gardens are a hidden gem in Wallsend. The food was average and not that much of it. Place was empty. Good polite service.

So disappointed. Bought this as a Mother's Day treat through Eventbrite, didn't receive a confirmation email so tried to contact Wallsend hall a number of times but couldn't get through. Emailed and sent a message through Facebook and eventually got a response and booked. When we arrived the man didn't have our booking in the diary which was embarrassing, but luckily he was the only who booked it through Facebook so took us through to the table. Tea and coffee were self service, the boiler ran out of water and we had to wait 10 mins! No cutlery or napkins at the table had to ask! Sandwiches ok but scones undercooked and cakes shop bought. Hardly anyone else in and no atmosphere at all. Never again.
