Travelodge is always excellent value but our experience at Travelodge Quayside, Newcastle was particularly good. It was so clean with a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful (Cheryl was a star). Breakfast as good as you would get in a 5 star hotel. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is great value for the location. Adjacent to the Copthorne and right on the quayside promenade. When we stayed there was secure parking under the hotel. Access to the hotel by car is relatively easy providing you keep to times avoiding commuter traffic. We had a room with a view of the bridges and river which was a bonus. Breakfast was fine although there's a Weatherspoons next door doing breakfasts as well as numerous other eateries nearby.

Only stayed for one night, but reception, condition of building, lifts, room, bedding etc could not be better,Highly recommend staying here if you are in Newcastle.
The place is right on the river,Wetherspoons 50 yards down the quayside.
Did not use the restaurant, but looked clean and inviting.

Room Tip: River room

Comfortable place to stay the night before the run, friendly helpful and friendly staff, love;y warm welcome from reception. Good location for watching the city games the day before and not to far to walk to the start of the GNR, took about 30-35mins, the start is up a hill but it was great to walk with all the other runners. Would stay again.
