great, intimate, community venue with much to offer, from retro gaming to a variety of musical acts across a range of styles. Good range of ales, reasonably priced and free drinking water always available. Great place to be close to your favourite bands.

I've been going to the Boileroom for more than a decade and have seen many great acts there. The compact layout means you're close to the band and their sound system is top class. Friendly staff as well. Recommended.

Intimate, friendly and chilled venue well worth a visit or 10.
We first came across this place when the brilliant Aussie, Kim Churchill played there. We picked up on him first when he supported Seth Lakeman at GLive.
Seats at the back for a few if you get there in time and a decent view wherever you find yourself.
Recommend and worthy of your support.
Thanks

Music was fantastic, atmosphere brilliant but if you want a drink you have to hold hands with all the people you are buying for at the bar. Can understand for youngsters but I am over 50. Spoiled the night and suffice to say I stopped drinking so their loss.

Hi there,

Sorry you had a negative experience with our drinks policy. We try to ensure everyone has a good time when visiting the venue; but we do have to have stringent policies in place for having mixed ages (Under 18s) in the venue sometimes, which we understand can be a bit frustrating for our older clientele. Thanks for your feedback and hopefully see you again soon.
