Wait to be served just to be ignored and then serve someone else even though the bar was empty
Be told to move out of bar area, Because of under 18 child. (More signs will help Large signs)
Also Service with a SMILE might help too.

Recently visited The Moorland and enjoyed a delicious Breakfast. You can't beat a good full English and The Moorland delivers. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely return.

We walked to this restaurant although there is ample parkling. Monday night was easy to find a table for 2 and the staff were very friendly as were other customers.. We ordered drinks and set up a tab, which made food ordering relaxing. Mains turned up prompty and we had time to decide if dessert was required (it was). The sponge puddings are very light and the custard was delicious, but ice cream was an option. Extremely reasonable as well when it was time to settle up. We will certainly be back.

My friend and I sampled the Sunday roast dinners yesterday. We both enjoyed well-cooked food, which was plentiful and warm throughout. The gravy was served in individual gravy boats, a thoughtful touch as I don't like my food to be swimming in liquid. Our wait was not too long and while we were waiting we enjoyed drinks which suited our palates.
Unfortunately, fellow diners, who were sitting nearby, had a more negative experience. They had to wait for at least an hour after ordering, to be served. The food they had chosen was not so much to their taste and they left the restaurant mentally crossing it off their 'list' of places to visit.
The Moorland Inn must avoid being a victim of its own success. At busy times, prospective diners have to accept that there may be some delay in being served. However, communication is key. I heard a group of six, who arrived after us, being told that the wait would be considerable. That group was prepared to stay.

Came in for breakfast, both me and my partner had small breakfast. Excellent for the price and plenty for me but my partner said he would go for something bigger next time. Tracy served us. Very polite. We asked for an extra plate for our little girl and she happy got one for us, would come again for both breakfast or lunch.
Couldn’t say anything negative about the food or serve and the decor inside and out was lovely. Very warm and welcoming
