Absolutely stunning cathedral, only thing I didn't like was the lady at the entrance desk being quite forceful about giving a donation.
Wasn't a problem at all, but I feel like it should be up to me to decide.

A complete and wonderful gem of a building - I keep returning and keep finding more. This time I noticed the clock face on the North wall

The cathedral is beautiful, and is a pleasure to wander around. Definitely worth a visit.
The architecture is very impressive and you get to just wander round at your own pace.
There are people there to give you information, and there's even a tour if you want one.

Lovely cathedral. Worth a visit if you are near Wells. Interesting stain glass windows some clearly depicting figures and a story whilst others seemed to be more of a jumble we spent ages at these windows working out shapes. its worth waiting for the clock to chime watching the Knights on horses and one poor soul always seems to have his head cut off!
The grounds are clean and the building looks impressive. No charge for entry they just ask for a donation which they leave up to you - a refreshing change!

Very interesting cathedral the site of which dates back before Roman times. Lovely stained glass windows and an interestingly decorated ceiling. The chapter house is spectacular and not be missed. Good cafe upstairs serving lunchtime food and afternoon time served in the chorister.
