A beautiful Tudor building with a tasteful interior and amazing artwork that needs to be seen. Your usual choice of pub food done to a really high standard including some of the best fish n chips I've ever had.

Had the sharing platter for 2.
Fish bathing in oil - hadn't been drained, which meant the oil oozing out covered the pie lids. Fish itself totally tasteless and batter not seasoned - bland. Informed pie of the day was ham and something, turned out to be chicken which I hate. Burger was okay but covered in English mustard which the 12 year old did not appreciate. Chips were undercooked, so hard in the middle and soggy on outside and "crushed or mushed peas" were just that, loads of pea skin, dry and no flavour.
Lots of staff on but couldn't get anyone's attention for another drink, had to get up.
Really not a good visit but have had good experiences previously so won't give up but did not enjoy our lunch in any way whatsoever.

Thank you for your feedback. The 'Mini Classics' is one of our most popular menu regulars, so we are disappointed that you did not enjoy it on this occasion. The mini pies are different to the 'Pies of the Day' so we apologise if that was not explained properly? The batter is prepared in house to a consistent recipe including Shropshire Gold ale, the same as with our ever popular full size fish and chips. We would always urge you to bring such feedback regarding your meal, to our attention at the time of your visit, so we have an opportunity to address any concerns whilst you are still dining with us. However we are reassured that you have enjoyed your previous experiences and hope to welcome you to Henry Tudor House again and maybe secure a more positive review?

EXCELLENT!! Popped in today on my lunch for a pint and a bite to eat. I was greeted by a lovey girl (Kelly) who seated me and took my order. My food was fast and delicious and very reasonably priced. Not having long for my lunch i could not fault the service and would 100% recommend HTH. Will defiantly be returning again.

5 Star experience

A table of 4 was booked to celebrate a 50th birthday.
We were greeted and seated very quickly at a lovely decorated table with a large balloon, the table service was very good, good knowledge of food and specials.
Our meals where beautifully served and cooked to a high standard I can recommend the Veggie Bean burger – really yummy!
We will all be returning very soon x
