Been here a few times for their one night specials for birthday treats. The offer with free glass of port has gone, we had issues with the TV that delayed us getting ready for the evening, plus the room seemed a bit grubby (counted 10 ladybirds nestling in the windows). Food excellent as usual and a great place to relax in. Just feel as though they've adopted a bit of a complacent attitude. Unfortunate that there was also a wedding in progress (went for a chilled Sunday night). Can't deny its good points and staff are first class but probably go elsewhere next time.

This hotel is really down to personal preference. It is a weird place. Firstly, the rooms are nice but the walls are so thin! You can hear a person sneeze in the next room and you can hear most of other peoples conversations. The hotel is one that is really beautiful with beautiful grounds but it is very overpriced. The bed is uncomfortable and you’re only given a very thin small duvet. The drinks are really expensive along with the food and it is not worth paying extra for breakfast. The breakfast menu is simple and you could get more for your money elsewhere. The service is also quite slow. You can’t deny the beauty of the hotel but it is very overpriced.

Went twice over last fortnight. First visit for Lunch. Food quite good but bad customer service experience from receptionist. Decided it was just one of those things, so went for Sunday Lunch with 2 friends; unfortuantly the food was not good. Such a shame, as location and setting very good. So much potential, I really wanted it to be a monthly lunch venue. However will have to continue looking.

We try and get to this beautiful hotel to wind down and relax as much as possible, and it works...most of the time! This time another great stay, was ruined by inconsiderate, wedding guests, making as much noise as they could , running up and down the corridor outside our room at 2am..Perhaps hotel management could be more proactive in future and just impress on people to respect other guests..Otherwise another great stay.
