The actual estate is beautiful with plenty of countryside to explore for walks. However, this is a review of the cafe. I really enjoyed my cauliflower pasty and coffee but the service was so slow. We were waiting quite a long time, with no sense of urgency from the staff. Looks like they are advertising for a manager so hopefully, things will improve.

This is not a review of the estate, which is a nice place to go for a walk.

This is just for the café.

Nice building, suitable for walkers, grannies and kids alike.

Horrible, rude staff.

And check this out..... We just ordered 2 rounds of toast which turned out to mean 2 slices of supermarket bread toasted, and a couple of jams and butters.

So far, so cr*p.

And then we got charged £5.90.

5 of her majesty's English pounds, and 90 pence. For two slices of cheap-@ss bread and some jam.

Great place to start a walk and easy use car park. Paths and walks nicely marked and views fantastic .
Only small point cafe closed a lot earlier than advertised which was a shame but never mind had to go to the pub instead

I loved every second of the varied scenery on my walk that took in Owler Tor, Millstone Edge and Padley Gorge. The walk markers disappear part way round so it’s worth having a copy of your route with you! The car park, cafe and toilets were quite busy but clean and handy.

This is a great place to get out in the countryside and go for a walk. Far ranging views over the Peak District, valleys, tumbling streams, wildlife and plantlife, this place has it all. Starting from the Longshaw Estate lodge (now a private residence) there are walks of varying length and ability, all well signposted. There is a nice cafe and shop situated at the lodge and other facilities such as toilets. This is run by the National Trust and is very well managed and maintained. Good walking shoes are a must.
