Two of us went to this restaurant the evening of 29 March 2018. The man at reception was very unfriendly throughout our time there. One of the serving staff was nice but the main man's attitude made us feel so unwelcome. The food was fine. It was overpriced, though. When we received our bill, we noticed we were charged for four beers when we only had two. We had to argue this with the staff who insisted we had four. They finally took off the extra two but not without a fight! The restaurant was nearly empty so there really is no excuse for the bad service and for them to try and make more money off of us. I will never go back to this restaurant.

Food tasted awful, Naan was uncooked and was barely edible. Everything we ordered tasted sweet. Looks like it is not even run by Indians, it is more like Bangladeshi.. or whatever.. definitely not Indian. Name is 'Maharaja' to just attract the folks looking for Indian food.

Top of it, the guy is upset we paid through credit card, he was asking for cash. Purposely made us wait to process the credit card. Highly disappointed. Stay away.

Food was generally ok, however, I've never seen paying customers treated so rudely throughout. the guy running the place took 30 minutes to get one lady a tap water (he was clearly unimpressed she didn't want the mineral water) and he told others basically what to order.

If I had read the reviews on here I would not have dreamt of it but we found staff to be very helpful and friendly. We asked for some changes to the published menu which were happily accommodated and all our dishes tasted delicious.

A cramped black spot on the name of Indian Hospitality. The staff is so rude and ill mannered that even if you like the food (highly unlikely) you will still regret visiting the place. To top it all they charge you the optional service charge and would argue about it as if they deserve it. If only there was negative rating I would have definitely used the option.
