The meal was so bad that i was embarrassed, as I brought my client based on prior reviews. We were a group of 6 and after having waited 10 minutes to order a drink and get menus (at which point we got some incorrect menus)(and the place was 75% full), we asked for some recommended appetizers for the table. we unfortunately left it up to our waitress who brought out a platter of various fried things that all tasted the same - fried batter. I have not had heartburn in years, but had it for 24 hours after. We ordered a variety of entrees for table sharing and they were all bland. Only one dish was good --a beef dish that came in a very hot pot. This was the Baker Street location.

Dim Sums which are served from 11am are so well known, that there is always at least 30 minutes queue to get in, but it is well worth while. The food is truly excellent, but obviously, because of such turnover, the service is rushed, do not expect smiling and polite waiters. But if you just come for the food, the ambiance is nothing to write home about, you will not be disappointed.

We visited Royal China as our last dinner on our London trip. This location was very close to our hotel. The food was excellent and very filling. The portions are large so it's easy for sharing if you want to try a little bit of everything with everyone. Our waiter was hilarious and very attentive. He really made our stay that much more enjoyable on top of the food. And my husband loved the Chinese beer the waiter suggested. Next time we visit London, we'll be coming back.

Terrible queuing system, rude staff and dirty, sticky floors and also dried food on dirty (badly washed) plates, bowls and cutlery. Food was atrocious - we left most of it and left as soon as we could. There are many bad Chinese restaurants but this one has really managed hit rock bottom. Worse still, there was so much hype about this place.....
