Located at Covent Garden, the Delaunay was an excellent upmarket place to have a quick business lunch, well within striking distance from Kings College London and the LSE. It has quite a good vegetarian choice. The grilled avocado and tomato sandwich was first class. It was rather crowded at lunch time, but the staff managed to find us a table, and service was prompt and friendly. It is definitely worth another visit, when I am next in this part of London.

The menu is varied, that you can't go wrong in selecting something. However, the wait for a main course was far too long, and when the food came it was cold, and the second time it was undercooked.
The manageress handled the problem, politely and correctly, but it should not of happened.
Its a shame as it was one of our favourite placed for pre-theatre dinner.

Visited the Delaunay as a pre theatre meal. The Resturant is located a stone throw from the Aldwych theatre.
This Resturant has a great buzz and atmosphere. There is a counter service selling fresh cakes and those who wish to drop in. Booking is a must to secure a seat in the restaurant. Large French / continental menu, with plenty for all. Service was good and attentive. Also they were not pushy to get us of the table for the next sitting which is always a bonus.
Great for a nice lunch or dinner in the West End / theatre district of London.

After debating where to take my partner for his birthday, I stumbled upon The Delaunay the overwhelmingly positive reviews meant that I had high expectations. The ballroom is classy and elegant, the waiters find the perfect balance between attentive and not intrusive and nothing is too much. We enjoyed all three courses and hope to come back soon with friends.
