Being told that check-in ended 20 minutes earlier and that I needed to pay and additional £20 would have been annoying, but not the end of the world. This is a dirt cheap hotel - you don't expect much when booking there.

However, rather than a calm explanation or discussion of the additional fee, the receptionist was aggressive and rude towards me and my partner. He made no attempt to discuss the matter, raised his voice, came physically very close to me and stubbornly refused to give me the key to my room and allow me to discuss the matter with the manager in the morning.

Instead, I had to walk out in the middle of the night to go and find another hotel nearby. Absolutely horrendous customer service. Do not stay at this hotel - there are other cheap alternatives, even a hostel would be better.

Room Tip: A room in a different hotel would be better - don't stay here!

If you are just willing to spend the night in a comfortable place, this is your spot. 5-10 minutes walk from the tube station, this hotel gave us a double room with a tiny WC inside (the only bad point within it), free coffee and tea available for consumption and the kettle inside the room as well.
Everything was perfectly clean and when we arrived the handyman was replacing the air dryer as it seemed to be broken, however there was another one available in the closet (as well as a complete ironing set).

Stayed a couple of nights whilst visiting family in the city. Ideal location for my needs and transportation to other areas. A pleasant, quiet location. Small room, but as a solo traveller it was adequate with a great en suite. Very comfortable nights sleep, very clean , generous supply of tea, coffee, milk. Great value for the money I paid and would definitely use again. Thank you

Booked this hotel for €60 per night, a very good price for London standards.
The hotel is perfect if you just need a place to sleep. It was a bit old but very clean.
The location is absolutely perfect, lots of shops and restaurants around the corner and great subway connections.
