Owner description: Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. It is also one of London’s most iconic and visited tourist attractions. Over the years, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances; from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele, and is home to the celebrated BBC Proms. Whilst the venue is most famous for its shows by night, by day this treasured building is open for coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and guided tours of the building. Tip for tour ticket holders: Enjoy a 10% discount on items in the Hall’s gift shop and Cafe Bar.

We visited here on London Open House Weekend, which allowed us into the Hall. We walked around one of the upper levels and got to go in a box. There is a lot of history here and the exhibits highlight some of the many concerts and performers. Definitely go here for a concert-it would be a wonderful experience.

We had tickets for Kasabian as part of the Teenage Cancer Trust week. This was my first but i can honestly say it is my new favourite venue! It is just the right size at circa 5500 seats and i can highly recommend seats in the Grand Tier as they are essentially boxes for upto 12 people. We had seats in the Grand Tier right next to the stage so we were spoiled with excellent views. Also in these seats you can have a hostess service that serve food and drink. I loved it so much i wish it was my local concert venue!

Have been passed many times but never been in so took the chance of a quick look inside and found that we could have a tour the next day. There was only 4 of us but in season the tours are 15 people. We were lucky with the small group. It is so massive inside much, much bigger than it looks from the outside so we didn’t see everywhere but we saw enough over the one hour tour. We started on the outer layer where pics of every star that had ever appeared there were hung. We were taken into a beautiful bar where people gather in the interlude. Also the rooms that the Queen and Royal family use when they attend. In the auditorium we sat in a box next to the Queens and watched as the area was being cleared from the last artists. They have a massive piece of the floor that a lorry can fit on that works like a huge open lift to bring in and remove all the stage gear. The central part of the building is so very huge you need to just sit and look to take everything in. Also the level we were on you need to be reasonably good with heights never mind being on th higher level. Defo worth a visit when in London.

Fabulous venue for a TOTO concert!!!

Only my 2nd ever visit to RAH, and 1st in 20+ years...

SEATS are swivel, and we happened to be in STalls row L, so last row before boxes, on circular sides, rather than on the 'floor' (which was actually seating too). Only possible issue would be the STAGE being so low, for those on the floor, but no problem from where we were.

Drinks at "Speckled Hen" bar - a bit pricey, but just the usual rip[-off at ANY venue!!!

Fab venue!!!
