This is a rather ugly looking bridge over the Thames, which you can see while crossing the nicer looking Millennium bridge.

Quiet by London standards, we found ourselves walking across and watching the boats still underneath and the view along the river. We felt quite relaxed because there was less traffic.

I stayed her for one night due to a business meeting. The hotel was clean and check in and out was quick. I was upgraded on arrival to a queen room with a view of the shard. They also have on site parking which was really helpful. The bar staff were friendly. I didn’t eat here as I arrived late and left early so can’t comment on the food.
I was sharing the room with a colleague so they made up the sofa bed which was comfortable

Southwark Bridge does not offer the great views that Millennium Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, and others do, but it's a far less crowded means to cross from one bank to another and it's not too far off from Millennium Bridge. I would not make it a point to cross or see this one, but if you've wandered around south of the Thames, this will get you back north of the river if you need to cross.

The Southwark bridge connects the districts of Southwark and the City of London. An interesting example of 19th-century architecture and a place that is difficult to avoid while walking around London.
